We are seeking Ambassadors and Guardians for the Planetary Arts and welcome nominations.
Guardians would be nominated current and former leaders, including Heads of Government, Heads of State, and Heads of Multi-Lateral Organisations, who champion the Planetary Arts at the highest levels.
Ambassadors selected will be well-known public or popular figures with an established artistic or leadership reputation at either the international or national level.
Youth Ambassadors selected will be high-achieving early- to mid-career individuals in the Arts, or hold leadership or influential positions, enabling them to serve as Youth Ambassadors for Planetary Arts.
Advocates for the Arts as a tool for Cultural Diplomacy to address challenges to global and human security, whilst promoting planetary peace.
Conveners with additional political and diplomatic convening powers to facilitate high-level meetings, initiatives, and collaborative actions for the Planetary Arts.
Supporters and enablers of the role of Ambassadors, amplifying their reach through political influence and diplomatic networks.
Decision-shapers with the ability to influence decision-makers and develop collective recommendations and statements to advance the Planetary Arts agenda globally.
Advocates for the Planetary Arts in a public sphere, and as a spokesperson.

Planetary Arts Guardian
Her Excellency recently served as Papua New Guinea鈥檚 High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 2011 to 2022, with concurrent accreditation to Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. In this capacity, she also represented Papua New Guinea to the Commonwealth Secretariat, Commonwealth Foundation, International Maritime Organisation, International Cocoa Organisation, and International Coffee Organisation. Winnie chaired the Commonwealth Secretariat Board of Governors from 2016 to 2018 and is currently the Chair of the Commonwealth Foundation.
In Papua New Guinea (PNG), Her Excellency served as the first woman Cabinet Secretary for over ten years, beginning in 1998.
She has a distinguished background serving on commercial boards in PNG and as a freelance consultant. Winnie has worked extensively with NGOs, particularly on gender issues, as a founding member of the Coalition For Change PNG Inc., which initiated the 2013 Family Protection Act. Furthermore, Her Excellency has dedicated herself to the youth of the Pacific, serving as PNG鈥檚 alternate member of the Pacific Leadership Foundation Board to train young leaders.

Born in Argentina, Silvia Zimmermann del Castillo is a writer, philosopher, and international lecturer whose work connects literature, culture, and global sustainability debates. A former disciple and collaborator of Jorge Luis Borges, she studied ancient Anglo-Saxon and Icelandic literatures with him before pursuing Social and Cultural Anthropology at the 脡cole Pratiques des Hautes 脡tudes, La Sorbonne, and Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires. Over several decades, she has become a prominent public intellectual, currently writing as a columnist for the Opinion and Cultural Supplement sections of La Naci贸n and publishing books that explore the hidden possibilities of Latin America and the ethical dimensions of contemporary crises.
Silvia has played a leading role in convening high-level dialogues at the intersection of art, beauty, and planetary futures. She co-directed the Watershed Conference on Water at the Vatican in 2017 and coordinates 鈥淒ialogues in Paradise鈥 at the Mokichi Okada Art Museum in Japan, bringing together figures from culture, science, and the arts from East and West to reflect on art, culture, and society. As International Director of the Mokichi Okada Chair on Beauty at the University of Bologna and founder鈥損resident of the Argentine Chapter of the Club of Rome, she has helped shape global conversations on cultural change and climate action.
Her work has been widely recognised in Argentina and internationally. In 1983, she was selected as an outstanding woman in national history by the Dictionary of Argentine Women, and she has since been distinguished as an Ambassador of Peace by the International Foundation Thousand Millennia of Peace. In 2024, she was elected co鈥憄resident of The Club of Rome. Silvia continues to lecture worldwide, write, and curate dialogues, committed to nurturing a more just, peaceful, and aesthetically enriched civilisation.
Chris Packham is a broadcaster and environmental and animal-rights activist. His more recent credits include 鈥楽pringwatch鈥 , 鈥楨arth鈥 and 鈥業nside Our Autistic Minds鈥 for the BBC and 鈥業s it Time to Break the Law鈥 for Channel 4 . He is an ambassador for numerous wildlife and environmental NGO鈥檚 and a board member of the Climate Emergency Fund (US). With the co-directors of the not-for-profit Wild Justice, he is in almost constant litigation with the UK鈥檚 devolved governments. Chris campaigns for just transitions towards positive environmental necessities, from fossil fuels to renewable energy, from industrial, intensive animal agriculture to plant-based alternatives, from chemical-dependent to regenerative farming, and from declining biodiversity to nature recovery. His autobiographical 鈥楩ingers in the Sparkle Jar鈥 was the Book of the Week on BBC Radio 4 and topped The Sunday Times Bestsellers list. 鈥楳ore Beautiful Than You鈥, his recent photographic exhibition, opened in London to wide acclaim. He does graphic design work for LUSH and other companies, and he practices bronze sculpture in his studio in the New Forest, where he lives with his partner Charlotte and their two poodles, Sid and Nancy. His mantras are 鈥榳inning is not giving up鈥 and 鈥榮hout above the noise鈥 . He likes punk rock and Brutalist architecture.

Samuel L贸pez-Lago (M茅rida, Spain, 1991) is a strategic designer and multidisciplinary creative professional specializing in complex systems and in the interaction between people, science, arts and computation. He has extensive experience in project leadership and innovation facilitation. Throughout his professional career, he has applied creativity to solve complex problems, seeking efficient and cost-effective solutions that integrate people, technology, business, and aesthetics. He has worked in more than ten countries across three continents as a consultant, trainer, facilitator, and entrepreneur. Samuel is now a career civil servant within the European institutions, currently working as an Information and Communication Official in the Industrial Strategy, Skills and Technology Transfer Unit at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Seville. Previously, he worked as a technological team leader in low-code and no-code solutions (DG REGIO) and as coordinator of an audiovisual communication framework contract (DG COMM).
Samuel is an Associate Fellow of the 被窝影视福利 of Art and Science, a Special Advisor to UNESCO Body and Mind Wellness, a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, and a member of the Working Group on Design Innovation and Public Administration of the Government of Spain, among other notable roles.
He is the author of several books, including听Vadem茅cum de m茅todos de dise帽o, a concise compendium of design methods;听Clayfulness, an essay on the interaction between mindfulness meditation and working with clay;听Brusselaxation, an illustrated poetry book with mandalas inspired by the capital of Europe;听脥迟补肠补, a children鈥檚 adaptation of the homonymous poem by Kavafis; and the children鈥檚 trilogy听ABCDesign, a journey through the history of design via its most iconic objects,听A tale of a Chair, an small story in favor of diversity through different chair designs, and听Galer铆a de lo imposible, an evocative tale about the importance of creativity through surreal objects. He has also published numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and popular science texts.
Among his recognitions, he received the Excellence Award for his work as a project manager at the European Commission (DG REGIO). His work was displayed in Expo Dubai 2020 and Tokio 2026 and he was a finalist in Spain鈥檚 National Craft Awards. His artistic work is currently sold at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof铆a, and he has been named one of the 300 Spanish leaders in Technological Innovation and Circular Economy by the Advanced Leadership Foundation (United States).听
Currently based in Brussels on a diplomatic mandate, she serves as a Croatian diplomat, focusing on public diplomacy, cultural initiatives, and international cooperation within the European Union.
Her academic path began in International Relations and Diplomacy and continued at King鈥檚 College London, where she completed an MSc in Global Affairs. Her studies explored the intersections of anthropology, culture, and governance, with a particular focus on how historical and cultural contexts shape contemporary policy-making, specialising in regions such as India, Africa, and Brazil.
Alongside her studies, she worked as a researcher with the 被窝影视福利 of Art and Science while based in India, and later gained experience within the United Nations system in Vienna, contributing to international policy discussions and multilateral processes.
She later took on a Public Relations and Communications role with the 被窝影视福利 of Art and Science and the UN Trust Fund campaign Human Security for All, where she led communication strategies, delivered public presentations, and coordinated international digital campaigns across platforms.
Today, her work sits at the intersection of diplomacy, culture, and communication, guided by a strong belief that ideas, storytelling, and collaboration can help make international cooperation more human, accessible, and meaningful.
She is a young member of the 被窝影视福利 of Art and Science, where she continues to explore new ways to connect science, art, and policy to address planetary challenges.
Evangelia Savvidou is a Medical Doctor, a Master鈥檚 candidate in Public Health and Health Policy, and an Academic Associate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she is affiliated with the Laboratory of Primary Health Care and the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center.
With over eight years of experience in youth work, Evangelia serves as the Global Youth Networks Manager at SDSN Youth and is the Founding Coordinator of SDSN Youth Black Sea. Her leadership in climate and health policy is further recognized through her roles as a Climate x Youth Pioneer (GAUC & AUA) and her former position as the Central Europe Regional Contact Point for the 17th UN Climate Change Conference of Youth.
A dedicated advocate for global health, she collaborates with the WHO/Europe EVID-ACTION project as a Youth Representative and Advisory Committee member, and contributes to the Joint Action PreventNCD Youth Advisory Group. Additionally, she is an author for the Medical Student Alliance for Global Education at ScholarRx. Passionate about science communication, Evangelia is the creator and host of the “Primary Care Dialogues” podcast.
