This WAAS webinar aims to introduce out-of-the-box thinking on significant contemporary opportunities and threats that could lead to action towards exciting alternative futures encompassing sustainability and high quality of life building on the human security for all agenda..
The first webinar this year was scheduled for 13 June 2024. It was devoted to brainstorming new amazing possibilities for the future of humanity. We live in the most productive times in human history, which are also the most dangerous times. Therefore, there are extraordinary possibilities for a sustainable future for humanity if science and technology are adequately developed. There are also unprecedented dangers that can destroy civilisation in a very short time, like the use of weapons of mass destruction. Since science is unpredictable, many avenues of research are capable of creating extraordinary results that are currently not followed. This brainstorming was therefore primarily devoted to new research topics, approaches and methodologies in artificial intelligence with possible breakthroughs in human security. For a synergy, alternative approaches to prevent wars and the use of weapons of mass destruction were explored, including stop all wars now approach, which could contribute significantly to human security for all.
